During the year, Haugen Ranch Kennel's receives several requests forhunting dog training and started/finished hunting dogs. As we usually are booked for training and we have a waiting list for started dogs, several customers are referred to other trainers we work closely with. Preston Schwegel - Dog Trainer

Preston has over 15 years of experience training Pointers, Flushers and Retrievers.  Preston specializes with training Golden Retrievers and Llewellin Setter's. Preston will also train a variety of other hunting dogs.

Dean Renneke - Finished Setters

Dean is a well seasoned trainer that has over 30 years of experience raising and training some of the most intelligent Llewellen Setters in the upper plains. Dean trains dog's each year throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and Montana.

Dean has a select group of started and finished dogs he raises and trains each year. Throughout Dean's career raising Llewellen Setters, he strives to raise dogs with the following characteristics:

Update! Dean currently has only one finished Setter still available this year. Bolt, the finished dog listed below has already been in the field several times this year. He has over 150 wild pheasants shot over him and is whoa broke. He is ready to take out in the field immediately this year. This 2 year old dog is showing a lot of potential and has been on many points. Bolt is a finished dog that is registered with the American Field (The Field Dog Stud Book). Bolt must go soon!
